Pictures of LOVE

More pictures

Time has swiftly passed

"The time is far spent" but I hope there is much remaining. Our winter was filled with family- time which is most precious! The season has moved to spring and change. Bruce took his mother back to Florida and it is very quiet here. In reading a book, Spiritually Anchored in Unsettled Times, Bruce Hafen describes his longing to be "with you" towards his wife and family. I have felt that way also. There is such joy in being with our grown-up children and their spouses and their children. LOVE is the word but it is not big enough to say what is in my heart. I am so grateful for the life experience of being a wife and mother.

Family meal around the table.
It is a sleepy job helping Jude nap.

Sledding with Maizie, Caulder and Piper. (Yes I tilted the camera to make it look like KS has hills. :) )

Jude August's blessing day in Fort Worth, TX. Pretty cute mustaches' guys!

We enjoyed our holiday time and look forward to seeing our other children very soon!

Experiment with pictures

This is the stagecoach that was in the annual Christmas Parade in Lawrence, Dec. 6th. Beautiful horses and wagons. This is Maizie just befors she played a perfect piano recital. Bruce took a video but I couldn't upload it.
This is a picture of Dad at his "wonderful" work bench. This was taken many years ago but he spent so much time there I thought you'd like to see it.

This is Mom and Dean at First Park Baptist Church. Mom was playing prelude music for the Sunday School class she teaches each week. She is amazing at 93.

Christmas

Jennifer gave me the Playmobile advent calendar for this year which is of a forest scene. Bruce put the pieces in their boxes while we watched the Christmas devotional at Temple Square. It was nice to watch it in our home with Bruce's mother, too. The broadcast was lovely and the music was so peaceful and sweet. After the broadcast, we set up the scene with the first 7 pieces. Now we are ready for Christmas! (Well not fully ready but the happy feelings are beginning!) Saturday, Bruce, Lucille and I watched the Christmas parade of horses and wagons downtown, then went to Topeka where we attended Maizie's piano recital. (She performed very well!) Then Bruce and I went to see the movie, "Madagascar II" which was very funny!

Old Dog New Tricks

I have enjoyed reading blogs and seeing pictures of family and friends. I asked Joy to help me set up a blog so that I can share our life with you more easily. I am feeling like a duck out of water but at least I'm not chicken.
